AusPaddlers
Kids & Teens Weekly Kayaking Club Geelong

Anchor 1

AusPaddlers is a kayaking club for kids age 5 - 18. It is run by experienced instructors who focus on helping the club members develop paddle sport skills through games, build confidence, make friends, and have fun.

All equipment including kayaks, life jackets (PFDs), paddles, helmets and spray decks as required are provided. During term time our kids groups meet weekly in Geelong either on the Barwon River or on Corio Bay depending on weather and water conditions.

All members of the club have the option of working through their AusPaddle levels which cover canoeing, kayaking, water rescues, environmental knowledge, teamwork and leadership, paddle sport theory and expeditions.

Each AusPaddle level gets progressively more difficult. Once a new level has been reached the paddler will earn their level certificate and new responsibilities and privileges that go along with that level.

We have the following different groups available to join, which are based on age and skill level.

  • Tuesdays: 4:15 - 5:45pm Intermediates and Advanced, Ages 10 - 18

  • Wednesdays: 4:15 - 5:15pm Mini Beginners, Ages 5 - 8

  • Thursdays: Beginners and Improvers, Ages 8 - 16

If you would like help working out which group is right for your child please contact us.
