Paddlers Expedition

Kayak your socks off! 

We will be paddling approximately 9 km down the Barwon River in Geelong, from the Fyansford Common Boat Launch to Gundog Lane, stopping for lunch along the way (BYO lunch). 

You will learn on water navigation how to paddle as a team and how to lead sections of the river.  This is a great opportunity for anyone thinking about joining some bigger expeditions or doing trips with friends and family, but anyone who is able to sustain gentle exercise for 5 hours with stops is welcome.

Meeting Point: Fyansford Common Carpark (10am)

Pick Up Point: Gundog Lane Carpark (3pm)

Length: 5 hours

Who: Anyone who can sustain 5 hours of gentle exercise with multiple stops

Cost: $89

Craft: Single sit on top kayaks (sit ins available for anyone who has completed their flip out test ) Weight limit of all craft 130kg.

What you need to bring: Personal medication, spare warm jumper/jacket, lunch and snacks, full water bottle. 

What you need to wear: Clothing appropriate to the conditions, e.g. multiple layers to manage body temperature changes as we paddle. Sun hat, sun glasses and sunscreen.
