She Paddles Classes Overview

Location: Greater Geelong

Duration: 5 x 1.5 hrs per level

Cost: $279 per level

Learn to kayak with  like minded women!

Our she paddles classes are open to women and non-binary individuals 18 and over. All she paddles classes are led by passionate female kayaking instructors who value the opportunity to get more women involved in this fantastic activity. The She Paddles classes are designed to enhance kayaking skills, boost confidence, offer social opportunities, and provide a lot of on the water fun. The classes go from complete beginners in level 1 to more advanced paddlers in subsequent levels. No kayaking experience is required to join our level 1 classes and only a basic level of fitness is required to participate. To join level 2 and above you must have completed the previous level or have the equivalent skills. If you need assistance deciding what level is right for you please contact us.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to bring with me?

  • A warm layer to wear on the water if needed e.g. fleece, waterproof jacket

  • Water bottle

  • Full change of clothes

  • Towel

  • Any personal medication needed

What should I wear?

  • Clothes you don't mind getting wet and that don't absorb water e.g. active wear or wetsuit

  • Closed toed shoes you don't mind getting wet e.g. old runners, wetsuit shoes (location dependent) 

Will I fit in?

Yes you will! We have had women from 18 to 85 in our classes, from many different backgrounds and experiences. We love having a diverse group of women out on the water with us and so do all the women who paddle with us. 

Do I really not need any experience for level 1? 

You don't need any experience at all to join level 1. It is completely fine if this is your first time getting in a kayak, we will support you to get the most out of your experience and cheer you on the whole way.

Which class should I join? 

If you are unsure of which class suits you best, please get in touch with us and we will help find the perfect starting place for you!

How often do you run the She Paddles Classes? 

We run the She Paddles classes multiple times throughout September to May. During the months of June, July and August we don't stop kayaking we still do series of weekly social paddles to different locations each week!

Am I fit enough to participant? 

All you need to join in is to be able to do 90 minutes of gentle exercise with lots of breaks.
