Be part of the She Paddles Lake Connewarre Expedition and join us on an exhilarating journey through the beautiful Lake Connewarre Ramsar wetland. This remarkable ecosystem supports a variety of wildlife including 149 different bird species and stunning landscapes, creating an ideal setting for our adventure. Guided by friendly female instructors, you will acquire vital paddling skills while discovering the area's natural splendor and enjoying the company of like-minded women.

Expedition Itinerary
8:30am: Meet your instructors and other paddlers at Moonah Park in Barwon Heads. Pack items you wish to bring in the dry bags provided.
8:45am: Catch the shuttle to the start of your kayaking adventure.
9:00am: Arrive at Lake Connewarre and get kitted up with a lifejacket, paddle and kayak. Your instructors will make sure you have all the skills you need to have a fabulous morning on the water.
9:30am: Paddle across Lake Connewarre, watching out for the many birds that call the lake home.
11:00am: Find where the Barwon River flows out of the lake and stop for a delicious morning tea on the riverbank.
11:30am: Paddle next to the mangroves
12:45pm: Arrive back at your car after having a fabulous morning on the water and say goodbye to your instructors and new friends you have made on the water.

What to bring

Clothes you don't mind getting wet and that don't absorb water e.g. active wear or neoprene NO DOWN, COTTON OR JEAN CLOTHING

A spare warm layer to wear on the water if needed e.g. fleece, waterproof jacket

Water bottle (at least 1L)

Full change of clothes and Towel (to change into afterwards)
